The Holy Scriptures

We believe that the Holy Bible in its original form is the inerrant, infallible, and divinely-inspired word of God and that it is the ultimate authority for us as believers to be used as guidance for faith and truth for daily living. We believe that the Holy Scriptures are the living word of God.

The Godhead

We believe in a triune God who has existed eternally as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  They are three persons who are co-eternal in being, co-equal in power and glory, and co-identical in nature.

God the Father

We believe that there is only one true living God who created all things out of nothing and continues to sustain the Earth.

God the Son

We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and is God himself revealed in physical form to us,  that he is God but also man conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, that his sacrificial death and resurrection are the only way for an unbeliever to be saved from eternal punishment in the lake of fire, that he has reconciled us with God the Father, and that we are justified through our faith in Him.

Total Depravity of Man

We believe that mankind was made in the image and likeness of God but became estranged from God when Adam sinned.  Sin separated man from God to such a depraved state that man is not able to remedy on his own.  The only way to remedy man’s condition is by believing in Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and his resurrecting power through which one can be justified.

Salvation & Atonement

We believe in salvation through the blood of JesusChrist after professing that we believe Jesus Christ died on the cross as atonement for our sins.

Ordinances

We believe that baptism by full immersion in water is necessary for all believers and serves as a public profession of faith.  This is an initiation into a body of believers.

We believe that the Lord’s Supper is an ordinance of the New Testament, that the bread and wine serve as a reminder of JesusChrist’s sacrifice for humanity, that  partaking in it exemplifies our need for God’s nourishment in order to become closer to Jesus, and that it brings us closer to God as we examine ourselves before partaking in it.

We believe in the global church as an organized system of believers who gather to learn about JesusChrist in order to carry out the Great Commission.

We believe in the speaking of tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance and as the Holy Spirit wills, taking place in the form of private prayer or praise unless there is an interpretation, in which case the gift shall be exercised corporately.

We believe in the witnessing of the gospel to all mankind.

We believe that all believers should live in a way that is pleasing to God, abstaining from sinful worldly pleasures.

We believe that Satan is an angelic creature who fell from the grace of God, that he is the author of sin hence the enemy of God and man, that he is the god of the world (by the permissive will of God) ruling over the unsaved, that he tempts believers to sin, and that he will be punished eternally in the Lake of Fire.

We believe that the first day of the week shall be separated for the Lord, hence gathering to worship Him, glorify Him, and rest in Him.

We believe that JesusChrist will come to Earth for a second time in visible form to establish his kingdom. We believe in the following events related to JesusChrist’s second coming: the raising of the righteous dead, the rapture of the saints, the great tribulation, the salvation of Israel, and the inauguration of the millennial reign.

We believe that all saints will live in an eternal state of joy and communion with the Lord whereas the unrighteous will endure an eternal state of punishment without escape.
